New to audiobook narration – advice for proper pacing?

Hi everyone,

I’m recording my first audiobook (my own non-fiction book) and I’m struggling with pacing. When I listen to my recordings, they sometimes sound rushed in parts and too slow in others.

How do you maintain consistent pacing throughout a long project? Do you use a metronome or other tools? Any specific exercises to develop this skill?

Appreciate any advice from experienced narrators!
