Follow these steps to prepare your audiobook for Google Play Books upload.

Note: Intro and Outro chapters are CoHarmonify-specific and will be excluded.

📖 Abridged vs. Unabridged:
Unabridged: The complete, full-length text with no content removed (select this for most books)
Abridged: A shortened version where content has been edited out or condensed
💡 If you're reading your entire book word-for-word, select "Unabridged"

When uploading to Google Play, you MUST specify that your audiobook uses synthesized voice:
- In the Contributors section, find "Narrator"
- Select "Synthesized voice" (NOT "Human narrator")
- Choose "Synthesized Voice - Unspecified" from the dropdown
- Google will automatically add "Narrated by virtual voice" to your listing

"We are sorry, but you do not have access to Play Books Partner Center. Some reasons why you may not have access:
- Your account is managed by an organization that has this service turned off for its users.
- Your account may be temporarily disabled by your organization's admin.
- Your Google Workspace subscription may no longer be active.
To access this Google service, you may want to try signing in with a different account..."
This error appears when you're signed in with a Google Workspace (business) account instead of a personal Gmail account.
Google Play Books Partner Center does NOT work with:
- Google Workspace accounts (business emails)
- School/educational Google accounts
- Organization-managed accounts

1 Initial Account Setup

2 Payment & Territory Setup
- Navigate to "Payment Center" in your dashboard
- Add your bank account details (for revenue deposits)
- Set up your tax information (W-9 for US, W-8 for international)
- Select territories where you want to sell (recommend "All territories")
- Set your payment threshold (minimum $100)
💰 Revenue Share: You keep 70% of sales revenue - much better than the 35-50% from distributors!
3 Uploading Your Audiobook
- Click "Add audiobook" button in your Partner Center
- Enter your ISBN (required for Google Play)
- Fill in book metadata:
- Title and subtitle
- Author name
- Abridged/Unabridged: Select "Unabridged" (unless you've shortened the text)
- Narrator: Select "Synthesized voice" → "Synthesized Voice - Unspecified"
- Publisher name (can be your name)
- Language and categories
- Book description (copy from your Plan tab)
- Upload the ZIP file exported from CoHarmonify
- Google will automatically process and validate your files
- Set your pricing (recommended: $9.99 - $24.99 for most audiobooks)

! Common Issues & Solutions
🚫 "Account not eligible" Error
Cause: Using Google Workspace/business account
Solution: Switch to personal Gmail account
🚫 "Invalid audio format" Error
Cause: Files not meeting Google's specifications
Solution: CoHarmonify's export automatically formats correctly - use our ZIP file
🚫 "Missing ISBN" Error
Cause: ISBN not entered in Plan tab
Solution: Return to Plan tab, enter ISBN, save, then re-export
🚫 "Cover image too small" Error
Cause: Cover image under 1024x1024 pixels
Solution: Use AI Cover generator or upload higher resolution image
🆘 Emergency: Wrong Cover Uploaded!
Uploaded the wrong cover or has a typo? Here's how to fix it:
🚀 If NOT Yet Submitted to Google Play:
- Return to CoHarmonify Publishing tab → Preparation section
- Click "Remove" under the current cover
- Upload correct cover or generate new AI cover
- Re-export the ZIP file for Google Play
📚 If Clicked Submit (But Still in Upload Process):
✨ GOOD NEWS: You can fix it during the upload process!
Even after clicking submit on a cover, you can upload a corrected version while still in the submission workflow. The system will automatically use the newest upload when you complete the final submission!
- Stay in the submission workflow (don't close the page)
- Go back to the Cover section
- Upload the corrected cover
- Click Submit again
- Wait a minute for it to update
- Continue with the rest of the submission
- The final submission will use your corrected cover!
📚 If Fully Published (Already Live on Google Play):
- Sign in to Google Play Partner Center
- Find your audiobook in the catalog
- Click the book title to open details
- Go to "Content" tab → "Cover" section
- Click "Replace" next to the current cover
- Upload corrected cover (minimum 1024x1024px)
- Click "Save" then "Submit for review"

- During upload: You can replace the cover multiple times before final submission!
- Review takes 1-3 business days (for published books)
- Old cover stays live until new one is approved
